Personal Safety
It's easy to become lackadaisical about personal safety in a community like St. Helena. However, it is so easy to develop good, safe habits that you have no excuse for not practicing safe behavior. It could prevent a tragedy that one time you didn't think it would ever happen to you. It has happened in St. Helena before and it will happen again. Make sure you do your part to prevent crime in our community and keep yourself and loved ones safe.
When you are at home:
- Keep your doors locked at all times
- Keep your car in the garage and keep your garage door closed and locked
- Use a peep hole on your front door and do not open it for people you do not know

When you are on foot:
