Dumping medicine down the drain can pollute waterways. St. Helena Public Works

is partnering with St. Helena Police on a “No Drugs Down the Drain” campaign.

A new state law, which took effect Sept. 1, 2008, prohibits the disposal of
home-generated sharps in the trash.

Mail back services are available for your home generated sharps. Call the Napa County Department of Environmental Management for more sharps disposal information at 707.253.4471.
