You may have noticed that about 50 streetlights in downtown St. Helena were recently changed to LEDs. This is part of a PG&E project to update all of its company-owned streetlights to LED fixtures. Officials with the city of St. Helena asked PG&E to delay installations until a newer streetlight became available in the first quarter of 2017. Due to a clerical error, the work started ahead of schedule. Once the error was discovered, work stopped immediately. PG&E has acknowledged and apologized for its error.
