REGULAR MEETING AGENDA

1. ROLL CALL: Committee Chair: Edie Kausch, Vice Chair: Scott Freeland, Members: Matthew Strauss, Carol Troy, Alternates: Joan Westgate, Susan Smith-Allen
 
2. PUBLIC FORUM: An opportunity for the public to directly address the Committee on items of interest to the public that are not listed on the agenda. Any person addressing the Committee should provide his or her name and address, and limit comments to five minutes. Because of restrictions imposed by the Brown Act, the Committee may not engage in substantive discussion, nor take action on matters not described on the agenda.
 
3. REPORTS BY STAFF AND COMMITTEE: Reports by staff and/or committee on items of general interest. Brief questions for clarification may be posed and answered, and Committee may request that items be placed on a future agenda. Except under certain circumstances, the Brown Act prohibits any other discussion or action by the Tree Committee.
 
A. Oath: Swearing in of new Committee Member Matthew Strauss by City Clerk Cindy Black.

B. Training: City Clerk Cindy Black to provide Committee Brown Act training.
Estimated time: 15 minutes
4. CONSENT CALENDAR: Members of the Tree Committee or the public may ask that any items be considered individually for purposes of considering alternative action, for extended discussion, or for public comment. Unless that is done, on motion may be used to adopt all recommendation actions.
Estimated time: 05 minutes
5. PERMITS TO BE REVIEWED:
A. 2550 Spring Mountain Rd. City of St Helena Lower Reservoir. Remove (1) one Valley Oak and (2) two Live Oaks to provide access for required core sampling related to the regulatory seismic stability of the Lower York Creek Dam.
Estimated time: 10 minutes
6. SCHEDULED MATTERS:
A. Discussion: Site visit of Lyman Park 1480 Main St. planting of 2nd generation Valley Oaks inside Lyman Park to eventually replace existing Elm trees that are in declining health. City to provide a map of the park and the Tree Committee will begin developing a plan for planting.
 
7. DISCUSSION OF ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON THE NEXT MEETING AGENDA:

8. ADJOURNMENT: Adjourn to a regularly scheduled meeting of the Tree Committee on October 13, 2016.
