AMENDED Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration and a Notice of Public Hearing for the Culinary Institute of America Campus Master Plan
 
Subject: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in compliance with California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines §15072, to responsible agencies, trustee agencies, interest groups and the general public that the City of St. Helena proposes to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Culinary Institute of America Campus Master Plan. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that the Planning Commission will consider requests for Design Review, Use Permit, Demolition, and Variance approval(s) for the proposed project.
 
Project Location: 2555 Main Street, St. Helena, California 009-131-003;
                               830 Pratt Avenue, St. Helena, California 009-010-024 
 
Project Description: The project includes a proposal to restructure and expand the educational facilities at the Greystone Campus (2555 Main Street) and expand student enrollment from 200 to 300 students. Also proposed is a 4,468 sf underground storage cave and the installation of three modular storage units at the rear of the building. Concurrently, student housing facilities (dormitories) at the Vineyard Lodge Site (830 Pratt Avenue) will be expanded to accommodate a total of 224 residents (a net increase of 123 new residents). The applicant is requesting the following entitlements: Design Review, Use Permit(s), Demolition Permit, and Variance(s).
 
Public Review:  Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines §15073, the IS/MND public review period during which written comments will be accepted extends for a period of 20 days and from January 4, 2017 through January 23, 2017.
 
Planning Commission Meeting Date/Time: Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. (Rescheduled from Tuesday January 17, 2017).
 
Meeting Location: Vintage Hall Board Room located on the St. Helena High School Campus, at 465 Main Street, St. Helena, CA, 94574.
 
What Will Happen:  You may submit comments on the Mitigated Negative Declaration to the project planner during the review period named above and until 5:00 p.m. on January 23, 2017. After the comment period, the Planning Commission will consider all public testimony and approve, approve with modifications, or deny the IS/MND and/or the applications submitted for requested entitlements at a Public Hearing currently scheduled for February 7, 2017.
